CANDLE CARE

Before burning
  • Prior to burning your candle, always trim the wick carefully as the wick becomes brittle after burning (with a wick trimmer or a nail clipper) to least ¼ inch. This prevents uneven burning. If you forget to trim your wick before burning, let the candle cool down before trimming it.
  • Avoid drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
  • Burn for 2-3 hours each time you light the candle. To allow enough time for the wax to melt completely to the edges of the concrete vessel.
  • Do not burn the candles for more than 4 hours
While burning
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. If you are going to leave the room or go to bed, be sure to extinguish all candles first.
  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For safety measures, stop burning a candle when there is ¼ inch of wax left in the vessel.
  • Never touch or move a burning candle.
  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
  • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
When extinguishing
  • Use a candle dipper to extinguish a candle.
  • If you don’t have a candle dipper you can use a tweezer to extinguish the candle.
  • Keep the wick centered. It will help your candles burn evenly and protect the sides of your holder, which could be damaged by close contact with the flame.
